Should oily skin use clay mask or sheet mask? Advice by Acnefree

If you're looking for a suitable mask for your skin but aren't sure what to get. Is it better to use a clay mask or a sheet mask? I used to ask myself the same question:) After spending so many years researching and testing both types on my oily-combination skin, I'd like to share my findings to help you gain a better understanding of the two types and choose the best one for you.

First of all we have to know what exactly is clay mask and what is sheet mask?
What is clay mask?
Clay masks provide numerous skincare benefits, particularly for those with oily or acne-prone skin. They are famous for absorbing excess oils, removing impurities, and purifying and minimizing the appearance of your pores. While different types of clay can be used, clay masks are universally used to deep clean your skin.
What is sheet mask?
Sheet masks are simple, quick, and effective. They provide benefits such as skin hydration and the delivery of key antioxidants and vitamins. They're a great option if you want to simplify your masking routine because most don't require you to wash your face afterward (they're also great for keeping your skin hydrated on long flights!).

What do you want for your skin?
To better choose the one that fits your skin, you have to think about what you want to achieve with masking.
If you want to deep clean the pores, get rid of blackheads, control the oily area (forehead and nose) and remove hidden acne, clay mask is a great choice for you.
If you want to hydrate and soothe your skin, then the item in your basket should be sheet mask.
My recommendation
Consider your skin condition. If you are having cyst and pustules, then you should not use sheet mask. Sheet mask contains lots of condensed vitamin liquid that can be a place for acne bacteria to grow.
For hydration purpose, sheet mask is recommended.
To remove oil, it should be clay mask.
If your face skin condition is good, you can consider both of the products.
My favorite clay mask
Kiehl's Tumeric & Cranberry Seed
Clay Mask is one my most favorite. The cranberry seed will help you message your face skin and pores. The main usage of this mask is to brighten your skin appearance. It also helps to remove hidden acne.
Kielh's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque will be your best friend in removing blackheads from your nose. Furthermore, its texture can absorb all of the oil and leave you with a skin that has the proper amount of oil.
My favorite sheet mask
Naruko is a Taiwanese skincare brand that has seen rapid growth in the Asian skincare market in recent years. This Naruko tea tree sheet mask helps in the removal of blemishes and cysts. Your skin will boost and the acne will reduce after 2 to 3 masks.
